Continuity for the people doing the work.

Local-first tools could help field teams retain case context and prepare clear handoffs when connectivity is unreliable.

Capture with consent and purpose

Collect the information needed for the service interaction, explain its use and make the responsible organisation visible. Avoid turning a field demonstration into an unnecessary collection of personal details.

Assist the handoff

Structure notes and evidence so another authorised worker can understand the next action. Preserve the person’s stated preferences and distinguish observed information from interpretation. Reconciliation must not silently overwrite another worker’s record.

Measure service usefulness

Evaluate completion time, correction burden and successful recovery of interrupted work with the participating team. These are proposed evaluation measures; no measured improvement is claimed here.

A practical example

A field worker prepares a service referral offline, reviews it with the person concerned, then transfers it through the organisation’s approved channel when connected.

This explanation identifies the workflow and its boundaries; it does not claim a live operation.
