A graphical desktop with a CodeMirror editor, VFS file explorer, packaged execution engines and an optional terminal.

Execution model
Browser workstation with packaged language engines

Python runs through Pyodide/CPython, JavaScript through QuickJS, and C/C++ through the bundled compiler, linker and WASI runtime. Files are retained in this browser and launch context. Direct-runtime storage is a separate context; move existing work with export/import.

AetherOS

What you get
Installed CodeMirror, sql.js and PDF.js tools using a shared VFS, the original seven applications, and Workspace Terminal. Cloud terminal execution uses the packaged Python, JavaScript, C/C++ and WASI engines.
Keep your work
Choose session or browser-retained VFS storage, save tool work and export a snapshot for recovery. Cloud launch requires no HTML download.
Execution model
Cloud-hosted browser workspace

The isolated application runs browser code and real installed open-source packages. Browser-retained and session VFS storage are selectable. Terminal language engines require the cloud launcher and fetch their pinned package on first use; the portable HTML does not include that engine service. Google identity, paid entitlements, Drive backup and Android packaging are separate unconfigured adapters.

Keep the original file independently and reopen the stored item to compare it. A local copy, a cloud record and a managed server backup are different; check the selected destination rather than relying on an inherited status badge.

Browser environment with vault and connected-service views

Local Vault and Cloud Drive are distinct destinations. Verify a saved file by reopening it, and retain its original independently. Some inherited cluster, agent and licence labels are static interface text, not live telemetry or proof of a purchased licence.

The included examples and your own workspace stay in this browser. Document retrieval and bounded analysis are local operations; no hosted language model, device-wide file access, external host connection or owner authority is provided. Avoid private records on a shared device.
