← All technology familiesA bus is not the whole mesh
CAN carries identified messages between embedded participants. Its arbitration gives competing messages an ordered access mechanism. A distributed service mesh has additional responsibilities: identity, routing across networks, durable records and application-level permissions.
The gateway is the engineering boundary
The owner describes developed router-edge packages and a full CAN bus architecture with CAT6 multiprocess compatibility. The documentation must trace the physical interface, message decoder, process routing and command boundary for each target. CAN signalling, CAT6 cabling and higher-level network protocols are distinct layers; their precise mapping belongs to the package specification.
Validate the real target
Life-support beds and automotive retrofits are separate target architectures with different device interfaces, timing constraints and acceptance processes. The exact router-edge and CAN bus/CAT6 package sources have not yet been located in this review. That is a source-tracing gap, not a finding that the owner has not developed them.
A practical example
A temperature frame becomes useful only after its encoding, scale and unit are known. The gateway records the decoded observation and source frame reference; a mesh service can then review it without pretending the transport identifier is a physical measurement.
This explanation identifies the workflow and its boundaries; it does not claim a live operation.
