Operating System Studio
Assemble applications inside the AetherOS working environment.
Owner-controlled browser application • access by arrangement
What you can accomplish
Verify an HTML application package before installing its bytes in AetherOS.
What you bring
An HTML payload and its JSON manifest: application id, version, a safe HTML path below /apps/, and the payload SHA-256. Keep the existing package and manifest before replacing a version.
Work through the task
- Choose the HTML and manifest files, then verify their content digest and package identity.
- In an approved owner environment, inspect the package index and previous version. Confirm installation only after the verification succeeds.
- Inspect the installation receipt and compare the installed bytes. Launching the installed file is a separate step; the fixed built-in launcher is not expanded automatically.
What you leave with
A verified package result, or an installed package with a native receipt and matching content readback. Static verification does not execute the application.
Where your work stays
Installation writes to the browser-local AetherOS VFS and package index. Export or retain the source HTML and manifest outside the browser before a device or browser change.
If something fails
A mismatched digest, unsafe path, invalid identity, damaged prior package record or missing owner permission blocks installation. Inspect the reason and the retained prior files before retrying; there is no implied automatic rollback.
Available access
Installation is owner-controlled and requires the attached AetherOS host. This is a browser operating environment, not a physical OS installer or a public customer installation service.
Technical background, package access and updates
Purpose
Work with the browser-hosted operating environment, its virtual filesystem and application packages. Package identity, version, path and content digest accompany installation.
Working path
Application bytes → manifest validation → virtual-filesystem package → file-based launch.
Source identity
AetherOS managed virtual-filesystem lineage. This Studio is a new derivative, not a renamed historical application. The original components retain their identities.
Availability and authority
This is a browser/VFS environment, not a physical operating-system installer. Package installation does not add arbitrary applications to the fixed built-in launcher.
The four Studios have been installed, launched and reloaded in the owner-controlled AetherOS browser host. That qualification does not establish public access or cross-device state. Customer sign-in does not grant installation or administration rights.
