BRAINK v74
Engineering Research, Reconstruction & Stress Report
Evidence-bounded evolution of the v71 KEDDEH Linux Computer / BRAINK research-sector fabric into a hardened local HTML execution volume. The parent artifact is preserved; the v74 extension adds proof-bearing state, autonomous objective convergence, durable-state qualification, local triad failover mechanics, retained failure evidence and independent promotion blocking.
1. Research-driven reconstruction
2. Iterative R&D findings
| Iteration | Finding | Correction |
|---|---|---|
| v72 | HTML constructor converted a JavaScript escape into a literal newline. | Constructor fixed and all inline JavaScript syntax revalidated before execution. |
| v72 → v73 | Failover code existence was being counted as failover proof. | Observed `A→B` transition became a separate qualification objective; pre-failover local closure remains intentionally below 100%. |
| v72 → v73 | Ledger truncation contradicted append-only lineage; evidence duplicated complete events. | Removed ledger truncation; evidence plane now references immutable ledger sequence numbers. |
| v73 → v74 | Durable browser storage could fail or contain invalid JSON without becoming a qualification blocker/evidence object. | Persistence readback is now an observational gate; storage and checkpoint corruption are retained as failure evidence. |
| v73 → v74 | Single shared heartbeat object created unnecessary multi-writer contention. | Each carrier owns its own liveness register; election emits a shared primary receipt and append-only transition history. |
3. Logical-max execution model
INTENT → SOURCE_IDENTITY → OBJECTIVE_BINDING → MATERIAL_BOUNDARY → AUTHORITY_GATE → CURRENT_STATE_READBACK → BILATERAL_GROWTH → EXECUTION_MODE → EXECUTION → OBSERVATION → FALSIFICATION → READBACK → RECONCILIATION → EVIDENCE_PACKET → LEDGER_DELTA → NEXT_ROUTE
Autonomous convergence computes the actionable frontier from dependency state. It executes only local actions whose dependencies are satisfied. Observational obligations—durable persistence and actual failover—cannot be fabricated by convergence.
4. Stress-test results
| Test | Observed result |
|---|---|
| JSON + JavaScript syntax | All embedded JSON parsed; all 22 executable inline scripts passed Node syntax checking. |
| Pre-failover convergence | Core closure 100%; full local closure 91.67%; O12 deliberately open. |
| Stale-primary failover | A → B, reason `STALE_PRIMARY`. |
| Explicit fault chain | A fault → B; B fault → C; B recovery → B; A recovery → A. |
| Randomized deterministic fault stress | 300 cycles; no election mismatch; transition history 129 receipts. |
| Rehydration stress | 200 cycles; logical time monotonic; evidence references valid; first ledger event retained; median 6.641 ms, max 13.022 ms in the VM harness. |
| Corrupt stored JSON | Recovered and retained as `STORAGE_INVALID_JSON`. |
| Invalid checkpoint | Rejected and retained as `CHECKPOINT_REJECTED`. |
| Storage unavailable | Runtime continued in degraded mode but qualification remained false; persistence marked non-durable. |
| Chromium full-DOM execution | v74 UI/runtime instantiated with zero page errors. The harness context denied localStorage, and v74 correctly reported `WRITE_FAILED` and refused qualification. |
| Promotion attempt | Denied. Local qualification cannot self-promote global/product state. |
5. Research sector registry
The runtime carries the full sector index and objective-specific routes. The table preserves existing standing as source state; it does not reinterpret those standings as new v74 proof.

6. Triad-of-Triad reconstruction
Physical local carriers: A | B | C Each carrier: CONTROL | RUNTIME | EVIDENCE Liveness: per-carrier heartbeat registers Election: deterministic A → B → C priority over currently observed live carriers Failover proof: transition receipt, not code existence State: carrier-local append-only ledger + shared primary receipt Recovery: rejoin and deterministic re-election
The three carrier HTML files are byte-identical. Runtime carrier identity comes from the filename. This preserves one executable code lineage while allowing A/B/C state roles to diverge during execution.
7. Replicability and optimisation conclusions
8. Claim boundary
Proven here: local HTML reconstruction; embedded-data and JavaScript syntax integrity; deterministic execution under a JavaScript VM harness; three-carrier shared-state failover logic; stale and explicit fault election; durable-storage positive/negative gates under controlled storage adapters; checkpoint rejection/rehydration; append-only event retention through the tested horizon; Chromium DOM instantiation with zero page errors.
Not claimed: multi-machine LAN failover, independent physical server recovery, public ingress, authoritative DNS/TLS control, production browser multi-tab failover on the user's host, or formal computational universality. S29 remains research-open by design.
